Hello! My name is Nina House.
I am a 23-year-old from a small town called Phoenix in Central New York. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Biology. My boyfriend and I then picked up our lives and moved to Los Angeles, where I’ve spent my time getting involved in the botany field, enjoying the new sites, and going through various stages of uncertainty and homesickness.
I’ve started this blog in the hopes of helping myself to learn the flora of Southern California, thereby educating and helping others, while also delving into my various feelings about moving to a new area and adjusting to what feels like a completely different life. Other topics may include practical sustainability solutions, photography, my daily life, and other topics that pique my interest.
I enjoy hiking, camping, photography, reading, eating, collecting plants, and exploring.
